Lunch in a Medieval Village
One of our many meals during our French Adventure will be to lunch at
Lou Canton, a French Restaurant in the small medieval village of Cestayrols which is
south of Cordes. Bernard Gisquet, the chef/owner, is well regarded for his authentic
French cuisine.

Laurent Zimmermann
He will be sharing his knowledge of local wines, champagnes, cheeses and breads with us at

Chateau de Haute-Serre
We shall be visiting this vineyard which is near the town of Cahors. We have organised a private tour,
an education session and then a magnificent meal in the estate's restaurant.

“Mountain of Cahors”, over the Lot River Valley, on the historical slopes where the vines were grown
during the Middle Ages. When Georges Vigouroux bought this property in the early 1970's, he was one
of the few pioneers who decided to re-plant the vineyards of Cahors which had totally disappeared after
the phyloxera disease in the 19th Century. The new vineyard of 65 Ha surrounds the beautiful 18th
